It also made for one star-studded date night for Veep star and proud mama Anna Chlumsky and her hubby Shaun So.

"It wasn’t very chaotic (getting ready)," says Anna, who wore a gown by Brooklyn designer Sophie Theallet. "It was pretty calm. Everyone’s really respectful because I have a six-month-old baby. So they come in and whisper, 'Okay, here’s what we think we’re going to do with your hair...' It’s great. Everyone’s like my family."

As far as leaving daughter Penelope for the big night out, Anna was taking it in stride.

"It’s always hard to go but you trust the sitter you have her with and you know she’s enjoying herself," she says. "So you just give her a kiss and then you have your date night. Date nights are nice!"

"I actually don’t feel pressure (to dress for awards shows) because for me my first love is acting," she says. "That’s where my focus is. I’ve loved the opportunity to learn about fashion and I appreciate it as an art form and look forward to continuing my education but I never want it to take over my life."

Modern Family's Sarah Hyland hit the red carpet in a pale pink Pamella Rowland gown outfitted with an awards show necessity—pockets! While the actress carried a sleek little clutch, it was actually empty! A larger gold clutch (kindly carried by her publicist) held her necessities.

"That’s the clutch I’m bringing inside because I need stuff," she told OK!. "I need my phone, money, lip gloss—stuff like that. Stuff that doesn’t fit in here!"
