American Idol star Adam Lambert kicked off his trip to Finland to spend the holidays with his Finnish boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen, in a dramatic way.

Last night, while hanging out together at gay club DTM, the couple got into a heated argument in the back room which spilled out onto the street, according to press reports in Finland.

Finnish beauty queen Sofia Ruusila, who was partying with Adam and Sauli, got caught up in the scuffle when she tried to get between them, and Adam accidently hit her, says The Hollywood Reporter.

After being arrested and held for interrogation, both Sauli and Adam were released today. Sauli then posted on his blog in Finnish: "Celebrities are people too and fame is not easy. Love is not always easy either, but it's forever." Sauli is well-known in Finland for winning the Finnish Big Brother in 2007. Sauli continued on his blog: "hangover is gone already."

Adam's new single, "Better Than I Know Myself," was released on Tuesday. His new album, Trespassing, is due out in March.
