Despite recent reports, Amy Winehouse's rep says she was not planning on adopting a 10-year-old girl from St. Lucia.

OK! NEWS: AMY WINEHOUSE WAS GOING TO ADOPT ST. LUCIA GIRL

Dannika Augstine, a 10-year-old girl from St. Lucia, and her grandmother spoke to The Sunday Mirror claiming Amy was going to begin the adoption process of Dannika and had the permission of her parents.

"Amy was already my mother," Dannika reportedly said. "I would call her mum and she would call me her daughter. She took care of me and we had fun together. I loved her and she loved me."

However, Amy's rep tells TMZ now that "it's not true."

"I think Amy might have met her in St. Lucia, but she was in no way about to adopt her," Amy's rep explained.

Hopefully this isn't a shock to the young girl and her family.
