When OK! caught up with former boy-bander Ashley Parker Angel recently, the handsome singer, currently starring in the Broadway production of Hairspray, talked about his one-time tourmate, Britney Spears. “I honestly feel really bad for her situation,” he

explains. “I like her and I think she has a really good heart, but I

think she just got confused. I hope she gets help.”

December 15, don’t expect the pop star turned actor

to say goodbye to theater forever. “This opportunity has really made me feel like I want to pursue acting as well,” Ashley told OK! at the birthday party for Tony-winning producer Adam Epstein at NYC hotspot One Little West 12th. “I’ve never done it before and I’m having a lot of fun.”

And while the 26-year-old got his big break on reality show Making the Band and had a career resurgence in 2005 when MTV revisited his life with fiancée Tiffany Lynn in the series There & Back, Ashley tells OK! that the days of allowing a camera into his life are over. “I am a fan of reality television and I support it, but between the two shows, I’ve done around 70 episodes of reality TV. I think I’m done.”

Though his reality days are behind him, what lies ahead for Ashley is the reality of fatherhood, as his son Lyric has just entered his terrible twos. “He’s out of control,” the proud pop laughs to OK!. “He’s great, and he’s going to be a heartbreaker.”
