Emily Maynard is engaged and happy — for now — but sources close to the Bachelorette's new man warn that he's far from the good guy portrayed on the reality show.

"Emily really better watch out," one source tells OK! about the fiancé (whose name we're keeping quiet so the pretaped July 16 finale will remain a surprise). "He's a serious ego-maniac and he's desperate for fame."

"The reason he went on the show in the first place was to promote his business, not find love. There is only so long that he'll be able to hide that from Emily," says the source. "She's headed for heartbreak if she thinks he's going to be a father figure for her daughter."
