At the Baggage Claim press junket in Los Angeles, the all-star cast, including Paula Patton, Boris Kodjoe, Taye Diggs, La La Anthony and Tia Mowry, among others, came together to chat about the film, which follows flight attendant Montana Moore on her desperate attempt to find love before her little sister's wedding.

"Oh, absolutely," insists Boris. "Nicole (Ari Parker) and I started out as friends. I know you all don’t believe that but it’s true. When we first worked together on Soul Food we were really good friends for two years when we started dating. I think it’s a great foundation when you’re friends because you actually like each other, which a lot of people forget is very important. Falling in love is one thing but that takes on different shapes and forms as you go along together."

La La, who's married to NBA star Carmelo Anthony agrees with her costar.

"My husband and I have been together for 10 years but we started as friends as well," she explains. "Those days where love can get difficult, we’ve all been there, at least you have the friendship, like Boris said, to rely on and you like the person so you’re able to get through the bumps that happen throughout any relationship. I definitely think friendship is the foundation for any great relationship."
