Billy Bob Thornton, ex-husband of Angelina Jolie, is making a splash in headlines these days and it's not for his on-screen prowess. His estranged daughter, Amanda Brumfield, has been found guilty of aggravated manslaughter of the death of a one-year-old girl in Orlando, Fla. To make matters worse, the infant was actually her best friend's daughter!

Amanda was convicted last Friday as per E! Online. In court she indicated the baby had tried to climb out of a playpen and hit her head. As for the defense's story, they argued her fall could have caused her death by aggravating an injury she already had endured.

Well, prosecutors nixed that theory and said it's impossible! Would a fall from that height really create a 3.5 inch skull fracture that resulted in bleeding and swelling in her brain? Anyway, Amanda was acquitted of first-degree murder charges as well as aggravated child abuse charges. She will be sentenced in July.
