Bret Michaels to Replace 'American Idol' Judge Simon Cowell?

Although just released from the hospital after suffering from a warning stroke and a recent brain hemorrhage, rocker Bret Michaels announced on Friday night that he is in the running to be the next American Idol judge.

Taking the stage in Biloxi, MS for a concert, Bret gushed, “"I can't say this is true yet, cause I don't know. Next year they asked me to possibly be the judge on American Idol,” TMZ reports.

BRET MICHAELS IS ALL GRINS FOR 'CELEBRITY APPRENTICE' FINALE

According to a source at TMZ, the 47-year-old is definitely in the running to replace Simon Cowell when he leaves the singing show.

FOX network did not comment on the situation.

The Poison front man, who attended the American Idol and Celebrity Apprentice finales last week while still recovering from his ailments, has to have his patent foramen ovale heart condition repaired in the near future.
