There is terrible news to report out of Hollywood, as, according to a report on TMZ.com, actress Brittany Murphy has passed away at the age of 32.
The report states that at 8:00am on Sunday morning, emergency services were called to the L.A. home of the 8 Mile actress and her husband Simon Monjack after she went into an apparent cardiac arrest. Despite multiple attempts, Brittany could not be revived.
According to TMZ, Brittany was mom discovered unconscious in the shower by her mother this morning and then paramedics were called. Upon their arrival, they administered CPR after determining the actress was in full cardiac arrest. An attempt to revive Brittany was continued on the ambulance ride to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was deemed dead on arrival.
The coroner's office is expected to launch an investigation into Brittany's shocking death.
