With rumors of spin-offs and tension between the leading ladies heating (more like boiling) on The Hills, this fifth season could be the final run for MTV's hit reality series that took young, beautiful, wild, and media-starved teenagers and turned them into megastars.

When Lauren Conrad, 22, graduated high school, Laguna Beach replaced her with another blond—her 21-year-old bubbly nemesis, Kristin Cavallari. But if the leading lady decides not to return to The Hills, the show looks to be over for good.

"They will never find anybody to replace LC," Hills hottie and Lauren's ex Brody Jenner, 25, told OK! at club mur.mur at the Borgata Hotel Casino in Atlantic City. "She's an incredible girl and there will be nobody to replace her."

When Hills star Whitney Port, 23, left the show and was offered her own New York-based spin-off, The City, speculation rose that Audrina Patridge, 23, and other stars would soon follow. Brody said he's not opposed to following Whitney's lead by having his own Hills spin-off.

"Of course, I mean, I'm just saying if it's the right thing than yes," said Brody, who got some practice being the leading man with his MTV reality show Bromance, where he searches for a male addition to his entourage. "I think it's something that nobody's ever seen before. Its not The Hills. It's not anything else. It's something different and cool that people get to laugh about and laugh at me."

With Audrina focusing on an acting career, Lauren focusing on her fashion line and Heidi Montag focusing on her, um, music career, it seems the reality show that made the ladies famous is the least of their concerns.

"I think everyone is doing their own thing and having fun," said The Hills latest addition Doug Reinhardt, 23.

Whatever happens with The Hills this season, Brody said the cast mates will always remain close.

"If everything works out then we'll do a fifth season and if not it's all good," Brody says. "We'll all go our separate ways and we'll always be friends."
