Bruce Spingsteen and the E Street Band suffered a great loss last year when their famed saxophonist Clarence Clemons passed away in June at the age of 69, but they have decided to keep his replacement within the family.

Bruce and the gang have chosen Clarence's nephew Jake Clemons to take over on the sax for the band's upcoming tour for their new album, Wrecking Ball. And Jake not only plays the sax, he's a gifted piano and guitar player and even performed at President Bill Clinton's 1992 inauguration. Jake will split sax duties with Eddie "Kingfish" Manion, who has been performing with the band since their 1976's Born to Run tour.
"People have been saying to me, 'It's up to you now,' 'You carry the torch,' 'You are the legacy.' But this job is not one to be fulfilled by any single person," Jake writes on his blog. "Clarence was more than a saxophone player, he was an ambassador with a mission to spread Love and Joy to the world. It's up to all of us now. We must all carry the torch. We must all be His Legacy."
Bruce and the E Street Band, along wih Jake, will perform at the Grammy Awards this Sunday on CBS before they release Wrecking Ball on March 6 and head out on their world tour starting March 18!
