Following an alleged violent incident with his new bride Evelyn Lozada, Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson has been charged with misdemeanor domestic battery.

Gossip Cop confirmed the charge with the State Attorney in Broward County, Florida. Here's the thing: If he's convicted, Chad could face up to a year in the slammer. His arraignment is scheduled for next Thursday.
On August 11 he was arrested for domestic violence after head-butting her. This was apparently the result of Evelyn finding a receipt for condoms which resulted in a heated argument.

After the incident Chad learned the Miami Dolphins dropped him from the team. But that's not all — Vh1 dropped his new reality show, Ev and Ocho.
A VH1 rep told Us Weekly, "Due to the unfortunate events over the past weekend and the seriousness of the allegations, VH1 is pulling the series Ev & Ocho from its schedule and has no current plans of airing it."
