Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller hope to handle the rest of their domestic spat court case quietly and privately with the judge. Charlie's lawyer, Richard Cummins, filed a letter with the court, asking the judge to handle the protective order in chambers, away from the public's prying eyes.

"Obviously, both Ms. Sheen and Mr. Estevez do not wish this to become a media circus and would, as much as possible, like to have their privacy respected understanding that they are celebrity figures so there is a public interest and the necessity of media coverage," Cummins wrote in the letter, according to TMZ.

Cummins feels it would be okay to have one pool reporter in chambers who would pass court proceedings to other press waiting outside.

It is unlikely the judge would approve the reporter to have access to a TV camera.

Charlie and Brooke will both appear before an Aspen judge on Jan. 20.

They’re meeting with the judge to request a modification to a restraining order against Charlie, to allow Brooke to move back home to L.A. and be with her husband.
