Talk about timing: In the same week that Rihanna releases her new single "Russian Roulette," her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown announces his Fan Appreciation tour, to thank those supporters who are still loyal to him.

The 20-year-old kicks off his comeback at the House of Blues in Houston on Nov. 19, and will perform 19 dates in smaller venues, rather than the stadiums he used to fill.

A portion of tour proceeds will go to a domestic violence charity, The Jenesse Center, and Best Buddies International which helps young people with developmental disabilities.

It's a controversial career move for Chris who was sentenced in August to five years' probation, six months of community labor and a year of domestic violence counseling for the February attack on Rihanna.

He's due to perform at his first concert since the attack in New Jersey next week, and has a new song, "I Can Transform Ya."

"I feel remorse every day. I'm very ashamed," Chris has said of Grammy night, when he left Rihanna bloodied and bruised, "But it doesn't define me. I try to think about influencing people not to take the road I did."

Meanwhile, fans are wondering whether 21-year-old Rihanna's new song is about her ex. The lyrics include the lines, "You can see my heart beating/you can see it through my chest/that I'm terrified/but I'm not leaving/know that I must pass this test."

Rihanna's new album Rated R — the follow-up to 2007's Good Girl Gone Bad —is released Nov. 23.
