Chris Brown's publicist did not quit because of his Good Morning America outburst this week, despite recent speculation. Tammy Brook released a statement today to clear the air, maintaining that the decision was completely mutual.

"I am an entertainment/music publicist and was hired as a publicist, as they often are, to work specifically on his music publicity for the term up to the release of Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. album, which was released on Tuesday March 22 and is entering the Billboard and iTunes charts at number 1 this week," Tammy told TMZ in a statement.

She added, "I love and support Chris and it has been an honor to be a part of this album and I look forward to the possibility of working with him again in the future."

Speculation that his publicist quit circulated today after his actions on GMA Tuesday.

Chris allegedly had a breakdown off air after an interview with Robin Roberts where he was asked about legal issues stemming from his 2009 assault of Rihanna.

In a fit of rage, he reportedly broke his dressing room window with a chair. Chris has not been charged with vandalism and has since been invited back to ABC’s early morning program.

He also issued an apology yesterday, explaining he was sorry for the way he acted, but was also deeply affected by the interview questions, thinking they were only going to be focused on his album F.A.M.E.

“First of all, I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, or anybody who was offended or really looked, and was disappointed at my actions,” Chris said. “Because I’m disappointed in the way I acted.”
