The onlooker explained that the 57-year-old was the first one to tend to the girl on the floor and stayed calm as they waited for help to arrive.

“Christie gave instructions telling the woman to keep her head still and not to get up and even helped to place a pillow under her legs as they waited for the paramedics to arrive.”

The doting mother seemed like she knew exactly how to handle the situation, explaining that, “she had experience with treating people who faint because her daughter Alexa Ray Joel used to faint.”

The Michigan native seemed to invest herself fully into the young woman’s safety and comfort as she stayed by her side and even made sure the emergency medical technicians were fully aware of the situation.

“When the paramedics arrived on scene, Christie told them that ‘this can't be taken lightly, she hit her head hard, and I want her to get a cat scan or an MRI. It's impossible to tell the seriousness of the fall until then.’ She then knelt on the ground beside the girl and talked to her and kept reassuring her that she would be okay.”
