Christina Applegate has signed onto join Will Ferrell in Anchorman 2. So yes, this means Veronica Corningstone and Ron Burgundy will shine in the Channel 4 newsroom yet again.

And to think, Will himself confirmed the sequel merely two months ago while appearing on Conan O'Brien playing the flute! In character as Ron, he proclaimed, "As of oh nine hundred Mountain Time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman. It is official: There will be a sequel to Anchorman."
