Monday night's Dancing with the Stars elimination was one of the most shocking in the series' 17 season history, sending home the evening's top scoring couple Christina Milian and her pro partner Mark Ballas.

"I was shocked," Christina told reporters backstage on the press line. "After having a great performance you feel a lot more confident but you know in the back of your mind a lot of this is swayed by votes, a lot of it has to do with that. We knew last week wasn't the best week based on everything with Julianne and all of that stuff that happened. We didn't know what the outcome would be."

Last week guest judge Julianne Hough was tough on the pair, but Christina doesn't want to point any fingers.

"She has a presence and followers and she's very likeable, not to say...we probably could have worked on our dance a little more, but we did do a great job," she says. "Who knows? I don't want to blame it on her."

One of Julianne's criticisms of the couple's previous performance was she felt as though Mark took center stage as opposed to letting Christina shine, something they made a point of addressing during their dance on Monday night's show when Christina had a solo during the intro.

"Mark purposely said, 'Okay, well, if she thinks I overshadow you we're going to have a whole intro with just you dancing," she said.

Despite her early exit from the competition, Christina is happy she joined the cast.

"I have no regrets at all," she says. "I wish I could be here longer."
