HarperCollins will release a new Whitney Houston memoir written by her mother, Cissy Houston.

Cissy, who is already the author to a previous memoir How Sweet The Sound, plans to inform readers of her "beautiful" and "charitable" daughter, outlining her life from birth to death.

Mama Houston doesn't plan to skim over the bad stuff either. She'll indulge in her marriage to Bobby Brown, drug problems and all the grief surrounding her death from heart failure in a Beverly Hills bathtub.

"In sharing our story in this book, I hope to give her fans something to treasure, the way we all treasured Whitney," she said in a statement released by HarperCollins. "We are still receiving thousands of letters each day from her fans, and I hope reading this book will provide a deeper understanding into my daughter’s true story."

Harper Collins hopes the tome, which is out in February, will offer a behind-the-lense look at Whitney and a more human story to accompany all the tabloid accounts, reality television and gossip.

“She will tell the unabridged and unbelievable story of her daughter’s life as well as her own, addressing Whitney’s brightest and darkest moments while helping fans around the world understand the complexities of this extraordinary star who died much too soon," the publishing company said in a statement.
