Cops were called last night to Tom Cruise's posh Beverly Hills home that a possible burglar was on the prowl!

In fact, The Hollywood Reporter indicated someone was "detained" for trespassing. Keeping that in mind, authorities didn't confirm if the house was broken into or if Tom was even home during the possible burglary.

As for the house itself, how's this for some cool digs? Tom and ex-wife Katie Holmes bought the house in 2007 for $30.5 million! Not too shabby, eh?
The 10,000 square-foot house was built in 1937 and has seven bedrooms and nine (count 'em, nine) bathrooms. It's finished off with a tennis court and yes, a swimming pool.
