Cory Monteith Thought 'Glee' White House Gig Was "Poppycock"

Cory Monteith was skeptical when he first heard the cast of Glee was invited to perform at the White House Easter Egg Roll. "I didn’t believe it," Cory told OK! this weekend at the Audi-sponsored Oscar kick-off event celebrating Red Carpet Fashion and famed designer Marchesa. "I thought it was poppycock!" 

Michelle Obama invited the cast of the hit Fox show, since her daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, are huge Gleeks!

The first lady, also a big fan of the show, approached producers about bringing the singers to the annual Easter festivities on April 5.

"I think it’s on the back lawn — the South Lawn of the White House," Cory told OK!, placing a large emphasis on the location being The White House.

"No big deal!" the hunky actor quipped.

Fergie performed at last year’s celebration.

The cast of Glee is also riding high in the charts after their first album Glee: The Music, Volume 1 just debuted at No. 1 on the UK album charts, surpassing the Fame Monster herself Lady Gaga.
