NEWSCOVER STORY: Teen Mom Amber's Nightmare — Losing Her Baby

In this week's new issue of OK!: Amber Portwood barely remembers hitting her boyfriend Gary Shirley. After he threatened to call child-protection services on her, she lashed out, smacking him in the face, hitting him repeatedly and nearly shoving him down the stairs of her apartment. But since then, the consequences of her thoughtless acts — which were caught by MTV’s cameras and broadcast on Teen Mom — have haunted Amber.
Law enforcement began an investigation after the episode aired on Sept. 28. “We have an ongoing assessment with regard to the family of Amber Portwood, and we continue to work with law enforcement on this matter,” Anne Holton, of the Anderson, Ind., Department of Child Services, told OK!.

According to reports, Amber and Gary — parents to 23-month-old baby Leah — are expected to be formally interviewed by the police next week. “I’m sure that Amber is freaking out over the possibility she could lose her baby,” says an insider.
