Dakota may only be 17 right now, but that was apparently the point of Cosmopolitan's article on Dakota titled (via New York Magazine), "Welcome to Your Cosmo Years, Dakota."

The actress will turn 18 on Feb. 23.

In the article, Dakota's co-star from The Runaways, Kristen Stewart, compliments the young star on her skills.

“We had a few scenes that were crazy intimidating, and maybe once or twice, she was like ‘Okay, I have a butterfly in my stomach.’ Meanwhile, I’m hyperventilating!" Kristen recalls to the magazine (via Just Jared). "Sometimes I give her s— for being so on the ball.”

Dakota sounds very mature for a 17-year-old and says she's always been that way.

“Since I was young, I’ve always known who I was. I never really had to go through finding who I am," Dakota says. "I’ve always felt really secure.”

Mature for her age or not, do you think Dakota is too young to appear on the cover of Cosmopolitan?
