Cheryl Burke weighs in on getting partner William Levy to go shirtless!

I finally got William to take his shirt off! Yes, you all can thank me.

It was a battle, I have to say, but I felt like if it was two against one, Donald and Maks, and even Maks said that it was the one thing that we have that the other team didn't. I agreed, so it was perfect and it was paso doble.

You have three, strong, sexy men. I mean, the people went nuts. I have never heard the ballroom so loud. And it's all about that, really, you want to get the people going. Everyone was booing when we got those scores, so it was a really good night and I think it was good for them to do that take one for the team and take their shirts off.

Getting William to do it was a constant battle from yesterday since camera blocking. It was like, "Cheryl, I am not doing this. I don’t want to do this." He was like, "Why do have to do this? I just want to dance." I was like sometimes, "It’s a show. It’s a show. People want to see it."

If we didn’t have three strong men, I wouldn’t have done it, but we had such amazing men out there. Paso doble is a man's dance. You want to show it off. You want to just go for it. It was just perfect. I think just the music was amazing and so powerful and like I said, I think that the men just captured the moment and Melissa did a great job, but at the end of the day, it was really just about the men being able to control the situation.

Next week is two individual dances, so you’ll really see who can handle two dances and who can't. We have the foxtrot and the paso doble. I think the paso is going to be one of William’s favorite dances so I think that will be really exciting. And then the foxtrot, I think will be fun, too, so we just have to see what happens and work hard.

All this talk of an all-star season, I think it would be a great idea. We are going into season 15, and I think that people want to see their favorites, and I think it would be an even better competition than it is now. I would like to see Stacy Keibler, Gilles Marini, my partner from season 8, Joey Fatone, Kirstie Alley, Mel B… all of the finalist that didn’t win. I think it would be great!

As for the dance-off element of the show, at the end of the day I think it's up to the judges and that’s not really fair. It makes us feel like why are people even voting then? If it's up to the judges, then let it be only up to the judges. Don’t fix what’s not broken or whatever the saying is. We have been going strong for so many seasons.
