Dancing with the Stars vet Mark Ballas sustained a serious injury Sunday during camera blocking for part one of season 18's Monday night finale. He dislocated his shoulder while hoisting up celebrity dance partner Candace Cameron during what would be an integral move in the couple's freestyle performance.

Mark and Candace have been this season's comeback kids, narrowly escaping elimination several time after being at the bottom of the leader board. The pair wowed the judges and viewers last week with a jazz routine to Janet Jackson's "Nasty."
