Did the Royals Fudge Kate Middleton's Due Date? Why It Could Be July 4

One monumental celebrity baby has arrived (that would be North West), and we still have one to go. And just like North, this one may be arriving sooner than we thought.

Kate Middleton's due date has been widely reported as approximately July 13-14. A nice, relaxing, convenient weekend. But a new report in the British newspaper the Daily Telegraph suggests that the royal family gave that date to the press to catch them off guard when Kate gives birth around 10 days before that.

Why would they do that, besides privacy and all that? Like with so much of Kate's pregnancy, the hint comes from Princess Diana's history. When Diana was pregnant with Prince William, the royals told the press the baby was due on July 1, and he arrived on June 21. Hmmm.

Of course, it needn't be some huge conspiracy theories. "Babies have their own agenda," Kate Middleton once said herself. But wouldn't it be exciting if the baby arrived on July 4 as a special gift to already-celebratory Americans? Or better yet, on Diana's birthday of July 1? So lovely!
