DOLLY PARTON TO RECEIVE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME AWARD

Country music legend is already a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, but that hasn't stopped the prestigious institution from selecting her as the recipient of this year's Johnny Mercer Award, which is presented every year to a songwriter whose body of work is of such high quality and impact, that it upholds the gold standard set by the legendary Johnny Mercer, the organization said Tuesday in a statement.
