While Jane Seymour may be the latest celebrity hoofer to be eliminated from Dancing With the Stars, the actress tells OK! she wasn't shocked by the results.

“I kind of thought we were going to be leaving,” Jane admitted to OK! after Tuesday's results show. “I’m thrilled by the run we had. It’s more than I

ever imagined. I don’t think anyone anticipated anyone of my age lasting this long... I’m by far

the oldest woman ever to do this.”

Like many of the show's contestants, the grueling training and performance schedule has helped get the 56-year-old beauty into great shape, but now Jane tells OK! she might needs to actually put on some weight! “I lost 22 pounds,” Jane confides. “I went from a size 4-6 to less than a zero. I’ve been trying to gain weight. I’ve been eating like a horse.”

Jane faced many trials and tribulations during her time on DWTS. On Oct. 1, her 92-year-old mother passed away. A few weeks later, she told OK! she’d had to temporarily flee her Malibu home, which was threatened by the devastating California fires. And last week Jane was rushed to the hospital with food poisoning.

The consummate professional, Jane continued to perform well through it all. “I learned dancing was really important in my life,” Jane says. “It brings me joy, it’s part of who I am, and I need to continue it for the rest of my life in some form.”

With the writers’ strike leaving Jane’s TV acting career up in the air, she plans to pursue her art projects, charity work, and produce movies with her husband, James Keach. And she’ll go off the “healthy living” diet plan she was following while on DWTS. “I cut out all alcohol but tonight I shall be drinking a glass of wine!”
