Max Azria

Bryant Park

Molly Sims gave Nicole Richie a big tumble and even made an acknowledgment of her belly. Nicole looked ravishing and was enjoying herself with a friend. Carrie Underwood and Mya were also there and OK! was able to catch up with Ciara who is definitely “Team Britney.” Though Ciara can’t go to the VMAs because of another commitment, she did say, about Britney’s much talked about performance, “I’m hoping she will remind us of how amazing a performer she is, and we can forget about all the personal things for that moment.” As for fashion, her thing is shoes. The Goodies singer just recently started wearing flats and at 5'7" 1/4, short girls out there thank you! Though, with her amethist-colored Max Azria gown, she obviously had on 5 ½ inch heels!

Mercedes Benz Star Lounge

Vanessa Carlton came into the Star Lounge to escape. She did, however, manage to make her way to the Vera Wang show, the only show she wanted to attend. Also stopping into the lounge were Jamie Lynn Sigler as well as Mary J. Blige with her husband/manager, who wouldn't stop raving about the J Mendel show and would wear all his clothes.

W Hotel Lounge

At the MAC booth at the tents, Eve was given a personalized bottle of Moët & Chandon with Swarovski crystals. The ankle alcohol monitor device-wearing Eve asked for a bottle to be brought backstage to the W Lounge before and after the LAMB show so her friends could enjoy.

Backstage at the tents, the place to be is the W Hotel Lounge where celebs can enjoy a Bliss Spa treatment, some Nespresso or even some Moët champagne. Sarah Michelle Gellar stopped in before the Vera Wang show to change while Mya came in before the Tracy Reese show. She did tell OK! that Tracy’s stuff reminds her of Audrey Hepburn. Mya even looked on in admiration as a woman received a Bliss Spa neck massage. Fashion Week must be tiring because she looked at the girl performing a neck massage and said that must be nice.

J. Mendel

Carrie Underwood enjoyed the show from one end while fellow country star Leann Rimes gazed at the clothes at another near Jamie Lynn Sigler. Though it was hard at the beginning of the show to talk with Carrie Underwood with all the photogs around, or maybe the fact that she just kept her head down as not to acknowledge anyone, OK! managed to get a reaction from the former American Idol. She said about the collection with a smile, “It was great.” Once the show ended, OK! headed backstage and saw clothes being packed, makeup everywhere and models galore.

Just Cavalli store opening

Fifth Avenue was bustling as spectators flooded onto the street hoping they would see the man of the hour himself, Roberto Cavalli, and his star-studded guests. Cavalli proves he has something for everyone as his Just Cavalli store hosted a wide range of celebs from Bebe Neuwirth, Jane Krakowski and the Rescue Me gals, Callie Thorne and Sherri Saum to a younger crowd of Nicky Hilton, Michelle Trachtenberg, who will be staying in NYC for Fashion Week instead of going to the VMAs and a short black dress clad Ashlee Simpson. While all these people, also including Jennifer Lopez in a patterned, long dress and hat, mingled throughout the bi-level store, OK! managed to chat with Mary J. Blige. Unfortunately, she said the clothes Cavalli sent didn’t fit right, so, “I had to wear what I could.” It doesn’t mean she doesn’t love the designer. Mary said, “I love a lot of the jersey stuff that he does.” Look forward to seeing Mary at the VMAs as she is presenting someone with a very special award and maybe next year she will perform. Her album is almost done. As a Just Cavalli clad Diane Kruger and her cutie of a boyfriend, Joshua Jackson, were leaving hand in hand, she told OK!, “I feel best in my pajamas, but I love dresses that make you feel a certain way, clothes that make you feel a certain way depending on the occasion.” Steven Tyler has been in this industry for a long time and it really doesn’t get any bigger than him, but yet, he was so approachable. Even before walking in, he was having a good time. His first reaction was, “There’s like 500 people in here,” but that didn’t stop him. He and Erin Brady even proceeded to dance in front of the steps and sing along to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." After working through the crowd, OK! approached Steven, and he told OK!, “Every day of the year is Fashion Week for me.” He may even be starting a new trend, black nail polish down half of each nail. Though Ashlee Simpson didn’t stay too long, she did arrive on time where as big sis Jessica came as the party was ending and literally just stopped by.
