Gordon Ramsay is back tonight with a fourth season of Hell’s Kitchen. Just when you think he can’t stand the heat, Gordon reveals he’s already put the garnish on season five! “I cook for a living; I’m not a scheduler,” he says of shooting the seasons back-to-back. “In terms of expenditure it’s far more economical.”

This season, the chefs' backgrounds are even more diverse, as a former electrician, a stay-at-home dad and a receptionist are thrown into the mix. “When chefs enter this industry and they graduate from culinary school they chase silly titles, which means nothing,” Gordon declares. “Watching domestic, talented individuals, these determined chefs that have the desire and want that chance to succeed, it’s far more exciting for me. When you can pick out somebody from obscurity and bring them through and propel the talent – I'll run that against an executive chef any day.”

Even though Gordon lays a beating regularly on his culinary contestants, he saves his harshest critique for himself. “When I make mistakes, I’m the first one to admit it,” Gordon says. “More importantly, if I do, the mistake doesn’t ever leave the kitchen.”

Cameron Diaz will be happy to hear it. Gordon admits he wouldn’t mind whipping something up for the gorgeous A-lister. “She’s tall, she’s beautiful and she loves pink meat,” he exclaims.
