As the eleven remaining contestants on American Idol sing Grand Ole Opry tonight, two noticeable voices will be missing: Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez.

Season eight’s first finalist causalities stopped by the OK! office yesterday to share their favorite moments with the show – and how they would have gone country this evening!

Is it sad to be the first bottom two?

JORGE: I didn’t think about being sad at all. I just thought, what am I going to do next? God told me to just follow me because whatever happens, he’s going to be with me, and I’ll be fine.

JASMINE: I was a little sad when Ryan Seacrest called my name. Regardless, I still got perform one last time on that stage. I really enjoyed that.

Were you bummed the judges didn’t use their new veto power to vote you back into the competition?

JASMINE: Definitely! I wanted them to save me! But still I think the save is a good idea. Whomever they use it for in the future, it will come in handy.

JORGE: Of course I wanted to be saved, but there were 13 people there who are amazing, and everything happens for a reason. This is the end of American Idol for me, but not the end of my career.

Jasmine, do you wish you had waited to enter the competition since you’re only 17?

I am so glad I did it now. I’ve been watching the show ever year, and I would say, “I want to be up there.” A lot people started when they are my age. Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera were on The Mickey Mouse Club when they were really young, and they've reached their dreams from then till now.

Jorge, was it tough to have the language barrier?

It was a challenge and I was glad to take it. It gave me a wider understanding of what the English language is. Translations from Spanish to English can be a little tricky, so you have to be careful what you do. My favorite expression in English is when you eat something, they say better be careful with that because it will go down like broken glass. I just imagine that glass… you can’t translate it literally.

So what would you have sang tonight?

JORGE: Believe it or not, I was looking forward to country week better that Michael Jackson. I would have sung,” by Carrie Underwood. It reminds me of a time in my life when I knew things weren’t going right with a certain person, but I just kept pushing. In the end, I knew it wasn’t right,

JASMINE: I was really looking forward to country week too. I’m from Mississippi. I was going to do something by Trisha Yearwood. Probably “How Do I Live.” I know the contestants this week are going to do great. I’m really excited to see them.

Catch the remaining 11 on American Idol Tuesday, March 17 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
