Isaiah Washington handled his scandal on Larry King Live July 2. The father of three tells Larry King he attempted to resign twice before he was fired from Grey's Anatomy after word got out that he called costar T.R. Knight a gay slur during an argument. Does he consider himself to be anti-gay? 'I am not homophobic, no way, shape and form,' the 43-year-old actor says. 'I am very sorry.'Isaiah blames reading blogs to see what they were saying about him for the reason the controversy upset him. Quoting Dante, he says 'the hottest place in hell is reserved for the person who remains neutral in times of moral crisis.'Does he ever ponder why the firestorm happened to him?'I felt sorry for myself. I'm not going to lie. I felt sorry for myself many times. You fall into that little space and go, why me? Why me?'
