Natalie was diagnosed with leukemia two years ago and after five rounds of chemotherapy last year her leukemia was in remission, but now it is back.

According to her doctors, Natalie needs to have a bone marrow transplant within the next few weeks in order to survive.

A patient in need of a transplant is most likely to find a compatible donor who is of their same ethnicity. Natalie does not match either of her parents or her little brother, as is usual in almost 70 percent of cases, and also doesn't match any of the 13 million marrow donors registered worldwide.

Only 7 percent on the national Be The Match Registry are Asian-Americans. Due to her Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese mixed racial heritage, Natalie faces particularly difficult odds, but you can help.
