Jason Derulo Spills on His Romantic Gestures for Jordin Sparks!

Jason Derulo first blazed onto the scene by writing hit songs for Lil Wayne, Pitbull, and more. Today, the “Marry Me” singer is a star in his own right and recently released his third album, Tattoos. OK! sat down with Jason for a chat and got the scoop on his famous girlfriend, Jordin Sparks, and yes, his own body art!

OK! Magazine: What’s your proudest moment so far?

Jason Derulo: Finishing my Tattoos album and having three of its singles skyrocket across the world. It’s pretty amazing—a little over a year ago I didn’t know where the road was going.

OK!: Speaking of tattoos—what can you tell us about your own ink?

JD: I have 11 tattoos, and they all have a meaning, but my favorite is my Tahitian warrior tattoo from Bora Bora.

OK!: You’re not afraid to take of your shirt on stage. How do you stay so fit?

JD: I work out every day, and I don’t give myself a day off. I don’t eat carbs after breakfast and water and club soda are my drinks of choice. Sweets are kept to a minimum. I try to eat very green.

OK!: You and Jordin Sparks make a great couple. What’s the most romantic thing you’ve done for her?

JD: I wanted to surprise her, so I blindfolded her at the airport. She had no idea where we were going until the pilot said, 'Welcome to Turks and Caicos.' We had our own private beach, and it was her romantic birthday getaway.
