Katie Holmes may not be joining the Glee cast, but Javier Bardem is the next reported star set to take the high school stage.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Javier is set to appear on the upcoming season of Glee as a rock star who becomes friends with Artie (Kevin McHale).

The Academy Award winner reportedly pitched the idea to his Eat Pray Love director Ryan Murphy, who also happens to be the boss of Glee.

“We’re going to rock the house,” Javier reportedly said. “We’re going to do some heavy metal — Spanish heavy metal, which is the worst.”
