Jennifer Hudson: Engaged!

Add "bride-to-be" to Jennifer Hudson's bio – the Dreamgirls star said "yes" Friday when her boyfriend, David Otunga, popped the question. Even better, he asked her on he birthday!

Jennifer's publicist, Jessica Kolstad, confirmed the news that David popped the question during celebrations for Jennifer's 27th birthday in L.A. on Sept. 12., adding that they have not yet set a date.

The American Idol alum has made a splash in Hollywood, nabbing a best supporiting actress Oscar for her part in Dreamgirls. She also appeared in Sex and the City and will appear in this fall's The Secret Life of Bees alongside Dakota Fanning, well as dropping her solo album on Sept. 30.

While her fiancé David appeared on VH1's I Love New York 2, it's clear that he now loves Jennifer Hudson!
