Jessica Simpson Hospitalized

Jessica Simpson was hospitalized over the weekend for a kidney infection, a rep has confirmed.

The 27-year-old songbird checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a "minor kidney infection" on Friday after coming down with a fever. She was released today.

Jessica, who performed at a MySpace concert for the troops in Kuwait earlier this month, has been hard at work on a country album and was rumored to have some high-end property down in Nashville.
