Jessica Simpson stopped by Ryan Seacrest's KIIS radio show on Tuesday to premiere her new song "Who We Are." The song will actually serve as the theme song for her new reality show The Price of Beauty. Smashing Pumpkins rocker Billy Corgan helped Jessica write the song  — a collaboration that meant a lot to her and seems to have helped her through some hard times.

Jessica has been at the center of a lot of controversy this past year. If it wasn't an issue about her weight it was revealing secrets about her sex life, but she has something she's really proud of that she's happy to share — her new show The Price of Beauty.

“Over the last year everything that happened with all of the weight controversy with me… if I put on 10 pounds it was the end of the world somehow and I didn’t really want to talk about it because I didn’t find that it was fair that I was being treated like that or to make women have this idea of what beauty is. So I thought this show was the best way to respond to that negative press and try to make it positive," Jessica shared with Ryan. "We went to Japan, Thailand, Brazil, Uganda, which the fatter you are the more beautiful… because their men want their women to look like cows.”

OK! NEWS: JESSICA SIMPSON OPENS UP ON 'OPRAH': "HE DID APOLOGIZE. I DON'T ACCEPT IT"

Recently, Jessica opened up to Oprah Winfrey about her difficulty with weight — or rather the media's difficulty with her weight.

"I was so nervous and so vulnerable and I am sitting there with Oprah, who I adore, and I know that she has faced some of the same criticism and if not worse," Jessica said of being on her show. "People are always on her about her weight issues so to sit there and talk with somebody who is a mentor and has such great perspective about the way a woman should feel about themselves was like doing therapy in front of the whole world. She went to some intimate places and if you cant tell Oprah, who can you tell?”

One thing Jessica did open about with Oprah was her thoughts on John Mayer's comments about her in his interview with Playboy.

"That’s truly how I felt and how I still feel," Jessica said. "You can only hope that somebody you cared about for a long time, you hope that they can keep the intimate things intimate. “

Someone she has grown to care about now is Billy.

“I had written a song and one of Billy’s producer lives up the street from me and I just wanted to kind of do it really organically and sit around with musicians and Billy was so kind as to be able to help me out with the song, just a really… I can’t find good enough words to speak about Billy," Jessica explained. "He is a really dear friend and for him to give his time and his talent and share that with me, it was a great experience and I hope that we can do more music together.”

Jessica's outlook for the future is bright and she hopes The Price of Beauty will impact other women like herself.

“It is a show that I believe will impact a lot of women. We just traveled the world and really just got into the beauty and culture of so many different and incredible people," she said. "Its about the heart and the soul of the woman.”
