While Taylor is known for writing songs about her exes, Joe says his new single is not about dumping Taylor.

"No. That’s not about her," Joe tells London's Metro. "When I write songs, I don’t say who they are about because I don’t want the audience to relate to what was going on with me when I wrote it. You say one thing and it becomes a big rumor."

And Joe also recently spoke with Bliss Magazine (via Huffington Post) and revealed he thinks the two could potentially collaborate on a future project.

“I think there’s a great opportunity for that to happen. We’re friendly, we’re not enemies,” he said of his ex. “People like to think that once you’ve dated, that’s it and you can never be friends again. They see it in a very black-and-white way."

"But there’s a middle ground in that situation."

Really? Even after the famous phone breakup?

What do you think? Can you see Taylor collaborating with Joe in the future?
