John Mayer Rushed To Hospital For Emergency Surgery

John Mayer was rushed to a New Orleans hospital Tuesday morning for an emergency appendectomy (the removal of the appendix).

As of this afternoon, the “Gravity” singer was reportedly still in surgery.

The 40-year-old singer is currently on tour with The Dead and Company.

The band’s show, which was scheduled for tonight, December 5, in New Orleans, has been postponed.

John's rep has yet to give an update on his condition.
