As if Charlie Sheen didn’t have enough of his own legal battles to fight, Jon Cryer of Two and a Half Men is now following in his co-star’s footsteps after an alleged death threat was placed against him last week and new reports reveal that his ex-wife may not be to blame.

“This is the father of her child, and I think it's outrageous that these rumors are being spread,” Sarah Trigger’s attorney Vicki Greene told E! News of not being involved in the threat since Jon’s nine-year-old son is in the picture.

Sarah, Jon’s ex-wife since 2007, also claims that she hasn’t even been contacted by the FBI, who have been supposedly investigating the threat.

“I can tell you that Sarah and I have not been contacted by the FBI. I don't think she's involved at all.” Vicki reports to E! Online.

After the CBS set of Jon’s sitcom was closed down on Friday, the comedic actor was reported to believe that a hit man had been hired by his ex-wife despite Sarah’s denial of the allegations.

Sarah even has a record of her own as she was arrested in May of 2009 after her new ex-husband called the police claiming child abuse involving their son, while Jon’s child Charlie Austin was thankfully not a part of the crisis, E! Online reports.

Both Jon’s representative and the FBI would not comment to E! Online regarding the threat.

Jon is currently married to Lisa Joyner and the pair adopted a baby girl, Daisy, in 2009.
