Friends With Kids star Jon Hamm stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week and answered some of Ellen DeGeneres' burning questions. The host needed to know if Jon was really on Saturday Night Live as a backup host in case Lindsay Lohan didn't show up or was it just a joke?

"No, it was a joke," Jon explained on Ellen's show. "Lindsay did a great job. I have a good relationship with all of the people over there and I happened to be in town and they were like, 'Would you do this thing. Could you come by?' Any chance I get to go to 30 Rock, I'm down. So, it was really fun."

Ellen also asked Jon about his role in the Oscar-nominated film, Bridesmaids, and whether or not he knew it would be such a big hit.

"I think that movie surprised everybody involved with it," Jon said. "I was particularly surprised when I showed up to work and I got my costume, which consisted of a beige thong."
