Ranger outfielder, Josh Hamilton, is reportedly "very distraught" after a fan fell to his death trying to catch a ball he tossed short to him.

According to ABC News, Shannon Stone, a 39-year-old Rangers fan, called out to Josh to toss him a foul ball at the Rangers Ballpark on Thursday night. The ball was reportedly thrown short by Josh and Shannon fell out of the stands trying to reach it.
Apparently Shannon, a firefighter veteran, was trying to catch the ball for his son who was sitting next to him.
He was reportedly conscious after the fall, but then went into "full arrest" while be transported to a hospital in an ambulance. Shannon was pronounced dead less than an hour after the accident.
"We had a very tragic accident tonight and one of our fans lost their life reaching over the rail trying to get a ball," team president Nolan Ryan, team president, said (via ABC News). "As an organization, and as our team members and our staff, we're very heavy-hearted about this, and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family."
Nolan also said that Josh is "very distraught over this, as the entire team is."
