Kate Gosselin Files for Alimony

Taking their split to the next step, Kate Gosselin has filed for alimony from Jon, The Insider reports, citing sources who say the petition was filed last week.

The estranged reality couple have been married for 10 years, and filed for divorce in June.

Their family of eight kids was the focus of TLC reality show, Jon & Kate Plus 8. Since splitting up, the two have been embroiled in a he-said-she-said back and forth in the media.

Yesterday the family came together for a little while to celebrate twin daughters Cara and Mady's birthday.
