According to Kate, the fragrance is meant to give you that “nuzzly” feeling that you have when you’re with your boyfriend. She tells OK!, “I just think that women should have that whether they have a boyfriend or not. We all want that.”

The scent was inspired by a past relationship of Kate’s of which she insists she is no longer in. However, they still remain friends and he even played a big part in the creation of the project. Kate explained to reporters at the Sephora launch party, “He was actually instrumental in me structuring the business so I celebrate him tonight. He couldn’t be here tonight, but he knows who he is.”

The former Grey’s Anatomy star used her experience as an actress to help her start her perfume project.

“I made it sort of like the way we make pilots in Hollywood which was I financed it myself and then sold it. I always had Sephora in mind. I thought that they’d be a perfect partnership.”
