Ke$ha has debunked claims that she sent a nasty letter to Lady Gaga chastising her for wearing fur which spread on the internet like wild fire earlier this week.

The pop star took to Twitter to say the note was completely false.

Mother Monster then responded saying she was pleased to learn it wasn't true.

"@keshasuxx thanks for clearing up that the letter was fake. U are brave+know the meaning of acceptance. Box of animal crackers coming ur way," Gaga wrote.

The controversial meat-wearing, fur-loving songstress has come under fire from animal rights group PETA who called her a "turncoat" for wearing animal pelts, but Gaga was not going to take the attack lightly.

"Please don't forget to credit the designer HERMES," Gaga tweeted sarcastically on Tuesday.

She later apologized to fans for her response to PETA, but not for wearing fur.

"You see a carcass, I see a museum pièce de résistance," she wrote. "But I am truly sorry to fans who are upset by this, it's a fair and applaudable feeling about the health and safety of animals."

"I respect your views, please respect mine."

And in an unlikely alliance, Gaga also rushed to the defense of Kim Kardashian who has also been attacked for wearing fur and was even flour-bombed earlier this year by an animal rights protester at a red carpet event.

"And to campaigners, Save your flour to make bread for the children who are hungry," Gaga said dryly. "And Kim Kardashian is fabulous.
