Keith Urban: I Love Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj 'Idol' Fights

With Nicki Minaj on his left and Mariah Carey on his right, Keith Urban is like a rose between two thorns currently as the divas battle it out on American Idol.

And after a video of the two judges going at it during an audition in Charlotte, NC, was leaked this week you would think that the country star was annoyed by the situation - but he is in fact loving all the drama.

"I was the UN," the 44-year-old joked to Extra at the New York Film Festival premiere of his wife Nicole Kidman's new movie The Paperboy.

"I love it, i gotta say. I love working with passionate people. I love artists. Everyone just sort of expressing themselves. It's a very alive and very invigorating work environment. A lot of passion."

But Keith added that people would be surprised who the biggest diva is on set - yup Dawg himself!

"Randy Jackson is the craziest," the Australian star said. "So, you know, unpredictable."

The Mariah/Nicki drama will certainly make for interesting viewing when the new season premieres in January 2013.
