Kellie Pickler takes OK!’s Last Word interview in the issue on newsstands now.

The American Idol alum, 24, who is engaged to songwriter Kyle Jacobs, will perform on CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night To Rock, which airs tomorrow on ABC.

This is what you won’t find in the magazine.

Last time you felt lucky?

Every day. I look at my life, and I’m so blessed. It’s so important to do what you love, and love doing it. I’m so blessed to be able to be on the road like I am. I love traveling, I love touring, I love writing and I love my job. I’m lucky. Every day I’m lucky to be alive. I’ve got my health and everything, so I can’t complain.

Last time you dined at Sonic?

I can’t remember the last time I ate at Sonic, but I just designed my first tour bus, and I have a Sonic ice maker on my bus. I love Sonic ice! Actually, Martina McBride, she’s a good friend of mine, and she and her husband John McBride, they have a Sonic ice maker on their bus, and that’s where I got the idea and went ‘if they got one, then I’m gettin’ one.’ John and I joke back and forth because he loves Sonic. I was like ‘well, I used to work there for three years, and I roller-skated burgers out.’ John goes, ‘well, that makes me want to tip you right now.’

I haven’t eaten there in forever, but I do have a Sonic ice maker.

Last time you felt short?

Two seconds ago, we got completely mobbed out there. But it was fun. It’s always funny because at the CMA Music Festival, you want to sign and take pictures with as many people as you can because these people are average, working, hardworking people. They’ve traveled from all over the world and all over the country to come here, and so you try to sign and meet as many fans as you can. It gets a little crazy when you try to walk down the hallway or try to go anywhere because you’ll be completely surrounded, and then you see these little kids, and they’re so tiny, and they try to run in between people’s legs and get to you. It’s sweet. It’s a huge compliment, I guess. When they stop chasing you, then you’ve got a problem I guess.

Here’s my pic with Kellie:
