The nominees for the 36th Annual American Music Awards were announced on Tuesday, putting Alicia Keys in the lead for the artist with the most AMA nods--5 to be exact, followed by Coldplay and the Eagles, who scored four each.

All three will compete for artist of the year, alongside rapper Lil Wayne and R&B star Chris Brown, who have three nominations each. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel will return as host and the show—held at the Nokia Theater in L.A. on November 23—will feature performances from the Jonas Brothers, Pink and reunited boy band New Kids on the Block.
