Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill says the southern rock band are pulling for eight-time Grammy nominee Taylor Swift.

The band — nominated for four Grammys for their hit "Use Somebody" — are up against Taylor in the Record of the Year and Song of the Year categories but she's still got their support.

"We are Nashville boys so we'll pull for our locals like Taylor Swift and Sugarland," said Nathan at the Grammy Nominations Concert in L.A last night.

He's modest about the band's recognition for the slow-burn hit. "It feels pretty good man. It's pretty cool to have a record that people can tolerate for that long."

Meanwhile, the long-haired rocker can't get too confident about the Kings of Leon's success with his bandmates (brothers Caleb and Jared, and their cousin Matthew) around.

"It's kind of hard for anyone to get cocky or a big head because you always have a brother that will punch you in the face. So, it actually keeps us very grounded and its good to share with these guys."

He also has other reasons to celebrate this holiday season, since it's his first Christmas with his new wife, singer-songwriter Jessie Baylin.

"I got married two weekends ago so I am already putting on the extra weight from getting married and from Thanksgiving," he said, "I just plan on a lot of eggnog and presents and hanging out with my family."
